Music 1951

The arrangements for Music 1951 had been almost completed by the late Ralph Hill at the time of his death, and he saw a good deal of the material in proof. The final version had, however, to be made without his help, and it may well be that his Editorial would have been modified or added to at a later stage. Now that this forceful and lovable personality is no longer with us, it is perhaps not in- appropriate, although his name appears on the title page, that those who have had to put the finishing touches to his editorial work should dedicate the volume to his memory.
